Humanistic approaches in progressive education

Abstract

With the help of two attempts of the humanistic educational theory (Carl Rogers and Ruth Cohn) are indicated the fact, that the Menschenbild with his growth potential, the actualisationtendency, certain conditions needs which grows they. Thus the teacher personality in comprehensive manner is demanded and is the learner a person, who supports this also in comprehensive manner. The humanistic educational theory has a big change potential.

Author Biography

Dorothee Wienand-Kranz

Dr. phil. Dipl. Psych. *1945, works as a psychological psychotherapist and supervisor. She has the function of training supervisor for conversational psychotherapy (Rogers) at the Institute for Psychotherapy at the University of Hamburg. In addition to conversational psychotherapy, she has also trained in Gestalt therapy, behavior therapy, various body-psychotherapeutic methods, symbol work (Phyllis Krystal), work with the Enneagram and constellation work. At the University of Hamburg, she worked for many years on the topics of body experience, extraordinary states of consciousness, spiritual experience and illness as an opportunity. Her main interest to this day is the connection between psychotherapy and consciousness. She is a member of the editorial board of the journal "Bewusstseinswissenschaften- Transpersonale Psychologie und Psychotherapie". Contact: wienand-kranz@gmx.de
