Abstract

Regarding increasing virtualization of everyday life and the diverse demands placed on children and young people, there is a growing need for educational interventions that foster self-regulation and relationship skills. Body-oriented and experiential learning plays a particularly important role here. Continuous training in self-awareness and interpersonal skills can empower young people to engage consciously with themselves and the world. In this article ways of training young persons are explored and concrete examples introduced e.g. the two-fold approach of first training teachers in the practice of mindfulness and proceding from there to the tuition of pupils.
