Abstract
Based on Somatic Experiencing ® as an example for a body centered method to heal trauma, it is shown how far many obstacles during meditation can be understood as implicit memories stored in the body. SE is represented as a method to support the coping and resolution of these obstacles associated with trauma. There are discussed possible criteria of an accompaniment which is sensitive for traumatisation and concluding there are elaborated positive mutual interdependencies between trauma work and meditation.
