Cure what? Paradigm shift into a new medicine

Abstract

Healing takes place beyond all methods and therapeutic interventions. The healing field – as an analogy to the quantum field – acts as a boundless resource, as a sea of all possibilities. Hence it is capable of creating fundamental healing processes. It is therefore necessary to go beyond the material paradigm, we are used to. This means to become able to experience the unity of all life behind the usual pattern of subject-object-separation, which in itself is already a contribution to healing. Healing relates to all planes of human life – the physical, the psychological and the transpersonal. Holistic therapists and physicians are supposed to embrace this spectrum. A new medicine in future will necessarily create new salutary images and a new salutary approach to illness and healing. It will have to develop wholesome inner attitudes within healing relations, always connected to the highest consciousness and rooted in the deepest source of life.
