Abstract

Based on the assumption of a paradox the authors present their experiences with three dimesions of group leading. They describe the interplay of three dimensions in the process of groups: the personal, the psychodynamic and the spiritual dimension, that each require different mindsets and interventions of the group leader. The measured attention to all three dimensions can lead to the discovery of an active principle of the ‘Group-Self’ and the sensual perception of a ‘Group-Soul’. This step in a group’s development is brought about by respecting the identity of each individual and it encourages the expansion of this very indivituality at the same time.
